CAIRO, N.Y. — A town man faces a felony assault charge after police say he seriously injured a three-year-old girl in a Wednesday, Jan. 28, incident that left the toddler hospitalized in critical condition. Wilson was sent to the Greene County Jail with no bail. Police said as of Thursday, the toddler remains hospitalized in critical condition. Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing, and they ask anyone with information related to the incident to call the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at (518) 943-3300. The Greene County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Greene County District Attorney’s Office and the state Police Forensic Identification Unit.
