The 2026 budget authorizes the creation of several dozen new positions to strengthen public service delivery:• National Security: 66 new positions total.
The police force receives 42 new posts, including a Deputy Commissioner and various ranks from inspector to constable, specifically to combat violent and gun-related crime.
• Health and Wellness: 10 new positions, including four District Medical Officers to improve rural healthcare access.
• Social Development: 16 posts for the new Ministry of Family and Gender Affairs to staff its administrative and technical units.
