Millions Risk Losing Sabhuku Deals Acquired PropertiesSpread the loveBy A Correspondent| Local Government and Public Works Minister Daniel Garwe has issued a stern warning to Zimbabweans who acquired land through illegal “sabhuku deals”, declaring that government will neither protect nor regularise properties bought outside the law. “We have been on record for a long time as government telling people not to buy land from those who do not own it,” Garwe said. He further warned that victims of land barons who fail to report fraud cases to the police effectively block government from intervening. “Those who buy land from land barons and get duped often do not want to report to the police,” Garwe said. “We have been clear as government: do not buy land from people who do not own it,” he said.
