Tongai Dehwa Moyo’s Mother DiesSpread the loveBy A Correspondent – The Moyo family has been plunged into mourning following the death of Esther Mhurai Zengeya, affectionately known as Gogo Chihera, the mother of the late sungura legend Tongai Moyo. Gogo Chihera died at her rural home in Sosembe Village 6, Zhombe, where she had been under care for some time. In her later years, Gogo Chihera suffered from persistent health problems, including asthma and complications affecting her legs. At the time, her grandson Peter Moyo revealed that doctors suspected a cancer-related illness. Tongai Moyo died in 2011 after battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, while the family had earlier suffered the loss of his wife in 2010.
