Residents of Longmont, Boulder and other area communities looking to cut back on outdoor water use may soon get some help, as applications are set to open for Resource Central’s Lawn Replacement Program. Resource Central’s Lawn Replacement Program offers two participation options. City of Longmont Water is the primary water provider in Longmont. To meet the lawn replacement program requirements, lawns must generally be healthy, irrigated turf, and meet minimum size guidelines. With the $750 discount, Lurie said that the cost of lawn replacement for a typical homeowner is $1 per square foot.
