Nanette Hunt, stage and maiden name Nan McClure, was well-known in the 1970s and 80s for her performances around Teesside. ‌In spite of this, Nan says being "positive" has always been of huge importance in her life. Nan attended St Joseph’s and St Richards RC schools in Middlesbrough but left aged 13 when World World II broke out. Angela told Teesside Live they were all immensely proud of Nan, and said: "She's had quite a life.
