Gill walked off, on December 26, leaving his ex on the ground outside The Black Bull pub. He returned minutes later, but Teesside Crown Court heard a group of women blocked him from getting near his victim. Gill left court with a court order which included an alcohol abstinence component and unpaid work. Mr Soppitt said that Gill still faces punishment for bringing the Army into disrepute - and that might include time in Army prison, in Colchester.
