A Lake Charles man was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after allegedly beating his girlfriend and threatening to shoot people. While officers were enroute, the caller said a man at the residence was threatening to shoot people. “In an effort to get all of the occupants out in the safest manner possible, officers began calling for everyone to exit the residence. As the victim exited the residence, officers observed severe bruising and swelling around her face and arms as well as a laceration to a portion of her arm.”Treadway said Francis was arrested booked in the Calcasieu Parish Correctional Center. Francis has been charged with domestic abuse battery-serious bodily injury and domestic abuse battery-child endangerment.
