Not only do I wear fur hats, but I also wear a fur vest during late-season deer hunts to keep my core warm, and I wear fur socks to keep my toes from freezing while out doing any outdoor winter activities. If carefully tanned, well made, and properly cared for, a real fur hat or coat should last for decades. Heck, leather is pretty widely accepted by everyone but vegans, yet a lot of those folks would never wear fur.
