The Adirondack Community Foundation has launched a new grant program aimed at helping small food pantries across the region upgrade aging equipment and strengthen their day-to-day operations. The Small Grants for Small Food Pantries Fund will provide one-time grants of up to $1,500 to local pantries for infrastructure improvements, including refrigerators, freezers, shelving, technology upgrades and staff training. The new fund comes as food pantries prepare for increased demand tied to changes in federal food assistance policy.
