On Thursday evening, the Vivo X300 series launched in South Africa, introducing the X300 and the X300 Pro to the country. Stemming from the successful launch of the Vivo X200 Pro in South Africa, which Vivo South Africa general manager, Tony Shi, explained to Hypertext was a “tester” of the local market. The entire X300 series is now coming to shelves locally after this test. Additionally, the X300 Pro also has satellite connectivity support as an optional feature in certain markets, but this still requires confirmation in South Africa. In South Africa, the Vivo X300 retails for around R32 000 and the upgraded X300 Pro for R40 000.
