EXCLUSIVE: Sony Pictures has landed the pitch Guinevere, a new take on the King Arthur story, that has Emma Holly Jones directing and Kristina Lauren Anderson writing.
Details behind the project are vague other then it being a fresh take on the Arthurian story told through the eyes of Arthur’s Queen.
Released globally in 2022 by Universal Pictures and Bleecker Street, the film received both critical and audience acclaim.
Watch on DeadlineAnderson is currently penning the sequel to the Disney live-action hit Cruella, with Emma Stone starring and producing, Craig Gillespie directing and Marc Platt and Kristin Burr producing.
She has written adaptations of Paulo Coehlo’s global best-seller The Alchemist for TriStar with Gil Netter producing; Swan Lake for Universal with Felicity Jones starring, Luca Guadagnino directing and Mandeville Films producing through Universal.
