A £5 million investment into Peckham Rye station has been made by the Department for Transport, the Railway Heritage Trust, and Southwark Council.
The investment will improve the station, making it easier to use and less crowded while preserving its historic character.
The upgrades will be carried out over 18 months, creating a much more welcoming station.
The numerous aspects of the station will be repainted, including the Booking Hall.
Work on the booking hall and platforms is scheduled for completion by summer 2027.
