The World Travel & Tourism Council issued a warning to the government after surveying nearly 5,000 international residents who regularly travel abroad.
They discovered that one-third of respondents would be somewhat or much less likely to visit the U.S. if applicants to the Visa Waiver Program were required to disclose their social media accounts.
So far, it isn’t clear what social media information would be required from each traveller, or how the collected data would affect them.
