Police had swooped in Heron Cross where they found 90 'small' plants in a room on the first floor. ‌A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "Following an investigation, Kennedy was identified as the occupant of that unit, and he was arrested. When Kennedy was interviewed in custody, he admitted that he knew that a room in his business unit was being used to grow cannabis but would not tell us who was responsible." ‌The defendant appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court this month where he pleaded guilty to permitting the production on premises of a controlled drug of class B – cannabis, and possessing a controlled drug of class B – cannabis.
