Pickup trucks used in Asda ram-raid dumped and torched eight miles awayThe vehicles had earlier been reported stolenView Image Police block Tongue Lane in Brown EdgeTwo pick-up trucks used in a ram-raid on a North Staffordshire Asda store were dumped and torched eight miles away. ‌As part of their inquiries, two Nissan trucks used in the break-in and as getaway vehicles were set on fire in Tongue Lane, which runs between Brown Edge and Bemersley Road. ‌Officers had blocked off Tongue Lane - a rural road which single-track for much of it - at both ends this morning as part of the probe. ‌It has been revealed both vehicles had been reported stolen on Tuesday and Wednesday January 27 and 28. "The two Nissans were later found burnt out on Tongue Lane, Brown Edge, at around 2.15am.
