A Banchory teacher has backed a “timely reminder” for parents to treat staff with respect – admitting that it’s an issue at his own Deeside school. Academy teacher Billy Bilsland spoke out in support of a letter sent to every parent attached to schools across Aberdeenshire. The issue was raised at this morning’s meeting of the education and children’s services committee. His comments come after Aberdeenshire Council’s education director Laurence Findlay felt moved to send the note to parents across the region. Speaking at the meeting, geography teacher Mr Bilsland said he said he “strongly endorsed” the content of the letter sent by the education director.
