Unite members employed by the finance sector outsourcer Diligenta were on the picket line outside their city centre offices today (Thursday, January 29). ‌Diligenta made an average of £82,000 per staff member in 2023, its pre-tax profit was £27.1m the same year. ‌Speaking on the picket line this morning, Michelle Smith, Unite’s lead organiser for the finance sector, said preconceived ideas about finance workers do not match with reality.
