Treyarch has confirmed that a fan-favorite game mode is returning in Black Ops 7 Season 2 for the first time since 2018. The Season 2 update is set to be another big content drop for Black Ops 7. On top of all that, the devs have officially confirmed that Safeguard mode is making a long-awaited comeback in multiplayer. The mode was first introduced back in Black Ops 3, before later showing up in 2018’s Black Ops 4. Since then, it has been missing from Treyarch’s mainline games like Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 6, but it did get added to CoD Mobile in 2023.
