The Pickleball Factory in Cape Girardeau will host its first Pickle Bowl tournament this weekend, bringing more than 100 players from across the Midwest for a two-day team competition modeled after professional league formats. The tournament, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1, has attracted 30 four-person teams representing Tennessee, Illinois, Kentucky and Missouri. Players will compete in a format similar to Major League Pickleball, with teams of two men and two women facing off in men's doubles, women's doubles, mixed doubles and singles matches. Cash prizes and championship rings will be awarded across four divisions.
