Michael Flatley has said he’ll be ‘calling his dancers’, as a legal order blocking him from engaging with the Lord Of The Dance production was overturned by a court in Belfast. Mr Flatley, born in the US to Irish parents, brought Riverdance to the worldwide stage back in 1994 as an initial intermission performance during the Eurovision Song Contest in Dublin — becoming a worldwide phenomenon. Suing Mr Flatley after claiming that he was in breach of the agreement to run the stage show, a Belfast judge dismissed Switzer’s application for a full injunction and removed the temporary injunction. Mr Flatley said Switzer had no right to the royalties from the show, adding that he was also concerned that the company had become insolvent. ‘I have been seeking to ensure the success of the Lord Of The Dance shows and proposed tour,’ he said.
