The City of Kingston has long nurtured a thriving dive-bar scene, with several of the hotter night spots doubling as music venues.
But while we weren’t looking, it has also been gradually carving out a niche for itself as a craft beer town.
Heading down toward the river, you can check out two relatively new brewpubs just steps off Broadway in Midtown: West Kill Supply and Kingston Standard Brewing.
“We were happy to be the first in the Rondout,” says Emma O’Donnell, co-owner and managing partner with her husband Paul.
Union Street Brewing in Hudson opened in July 2023 and before long was doing well enough as a taproom, restaurant and events venue to justify opening a second location.
