— Addy Fritz’s basketball season will extend to as long as her Hazleton Area team’s season lasts. The decision followed her transfer from Marian to North Schuylkill (where she never enrolled) to Hazleton Area. As Fritz’s eligibility was addressed, she served as a manager and statistician for the Hazleton Area team over the first month of the season. Fritz said in December that she was willing to accept whatever she role she might have in helping Hazleton Area add to its championship pedigree and make another deep state playoff push. Hazleton Area coaches shared the news with their players at practice on Wednesday.
