Valley Middle School seventh-grade students presented monetary donations to representatives from Valley Food Pantry. After reading an adaptation of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens in December and in the spirit of helping others, Valley Middle School seventh-grade reading students collected money to help the Valley Food Pantry spread cheer to families in need. Fifty percent of seventh-grade students contributed, donating a total of $217 to the pantry. Valley Food Pantry serves about 48 families in the surrounding valley. It is a labor of love run by volunteers, and donations come from the public; there isn’t any government assistance.
