Over the past 10 years, First Star Recycling has had at least a dozen fires, according to the company’s CEO, Jordan Leahy.
Leahy stressed that particular fire was not caused by improper recycling.
It also bans the improper disposal of batteries in landfills, targeting the behavior that can turn trash loads into tinder.
