Getting your Trinity Audio player ready...Local insurance agent Joey Proffitt is using the power of social media to give back to the community’s four-legged friends through a new initiative benefiting the Carter County Animal Shelter. The donations will help ensure dogs at the shelter have adequate food as they wait to be adopted into their “fur-ever” homes. By encouraging residents to follow the agency’s Facebook page and comment on the Project Social Paws-itivity post, Proffitt hopes to raise awareness for both his business and the ongoing needs of local animal shelters. The campaign will run from Feb. 1 through Feb. 28, with regular updates on donation milestones shared on the agency’s Facebook page.
