Ogun Customs intercepts guns, ammunitions, others worth N721m in January

The Ogun 1 Area Command of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), says it has intercepted contrabands with a Duty Paid Value of N721m in the first 28 days of January, 2026.
Others are four sacks 25kg of Caffeine Ahydrous, 72 packs soduku plant extraction Toothpaste- 120g, 84 Soduku Vitamin D 108g each and 2 pieces of traditional carvings.
Afeni said, “Ogun I command under my watch will act decisively to nip antiquity theft in the bud to protect our national legacy.
The total Duty Paid Value (DPV) N721,453,612.
The two seized traditional carvings will be sent for expert appraisal to determine the next course of action.
