Three west London stations will get more Elizabeth line trains calling at them in the morning peak hours from later this spring. Acton Main Line currently has 6 trains stopping there, which will rise to 8 – roughly one every 7 minutes. The update will provide additional capacity for Elizabeth line customers travelling from west London during the busiest times on weekday mornings, which locals have long called for. Trish Ashton, TfL’s Director of Rail, said: “The Elizabeth line is the UK’s single busiest railway service, carrying an average of 800,000 customers a day during the week. There are also ten more Elizabeth line trains on order to increase capacity and cope with demand when Old Oak Common station opens.
