The Algerian defense ministry said its army and border units killed three Moroccans who were allegedly armed smugglers during an operation near the border area of Bechar, according to an official statement posted Thursday on Facebook. The three Moroccans killed were identified as (A.A), (A.M), and (S.K). The ministry described the incident as a border security and anti-smuggling ambush operation involving the army, border guard, and customs units.
