Moroccan and French lawmakers gathered on Thursday in Rabat for the fifth session of the Morocco–France Parliamentary Forum, which brings together senior officials and members of both countries’ parliaments every year to discuss key bilateral and regional issues, Morocco’s Press Agency (MAP) reported.
Moroccan co-chairs Lower House Speaker Rachid Talbi Alami and Upper House Speaker Mohamed Ould Errachid opened the forum.
The session schedule includes four meetings focused on areas ripe for strategic cooperation.
A third session will address women’s rights and participation in public life, while a final meeting will focus on energy transition and renewable energy.
Several Moroccan ministers and senior officials in relevant subject matter are taking part in the forum, which is also expected to include bilateral meetings and diplomatic exchanges.
