THE Victorian era Caledonian Brewery in Edinburgh is set to host a “unique” open day before being converted into a new housing development.
The Caledonian Brewery was the last major brewery in Edinburgh but was closed for good by operators Heineken in 2022, resulting in 30 jobs reportedly being lost.
Now property developers are inviting members of the public into the category B listed brewery building to experience its history for themselves before the brewery is “repurposed” and construction begins on the surrounding site.

Before these works can commence, the developers have decided to throw the doors to the iconic brewery open one last time.
