Monks on a peace walk? Plus they were walking through the Deep South, not exactly a region one equates with Asian monks decked out in Saffron robes. They did have a cute little dog with them, leashed up and walking with a placid look on his doggie face. This was not a typical peace walk. It may be too much to hope for, but maybe these Buddhist holy men can begin the process of healing our wounded nation.
