It’s now six years since electronic-music brand Beatport launched its ‘Beatport Next’ scheme to support emerging artists. The company has just unveiled its 2026 cohort after receiving a record number of applications. Each will receive a year of support from Beatport including playlisting, editorial features and social-media campaigns. They’ll also be given opportunities to perform live – an area where Beatport has been stepping up its activity recently. The latest Beatport Next announcement follows Beatport’s partnership last year with UK charity Youth Music, co-investing £60k in grassroots electronic-music projects to support young DJs and producers – musicians who may well be applying for Next in future years.
