Luigi Koechlin – Global Voices’ chief executive and sole shareholder – is married to Dr Koechlin, though the couple have been separated since around March 2023. Following four days of evidence, an employment judge said Global Voices must pay Dr Koechlin a total of £3,408.50. Employment Judge Campbell deemed this disability discrimination, as Dr Koechlin was undergoing cancer treatment at the time – a protected characteristic in law. However, the judge ruled that Global Voices’ request for the claimant not to attend the meeting did not constitute harassment. Dr Koechlin turned down the alternative job offered to her in January 2025 and was then put on garden leave until April.
