NHS Forth Valley patients have complained about key documents going missing and complaints being handled poorly, John Swinney was told.
It came as she asked the SNP leader what action is being taken to improve “accuracy and transparency” in health boards linked to major secrecy rows.
She then turned her attention to NHS Forth Valley.
“In NHS Forth Valley…we have ongoing patient complaints about missing documents and non-compliance with statutory complaint procedures,” Ms Smith said.
A spokesperson for NHS Forth Valley said: “We are not aware of any current complaints relating to missing documents and significant progress has been made over the last few months to improve our complaints response times.”
