A trainee prison officer from Fife sacked for refusing to use “she” and “her” pronouns claims his daughter is “living as a man” and has fallen victim to a “social contagion”.
Mr Toshack said: “What’s happened to my daughter and her two best friends is proof of a social contagion.
Mr Toshack said he accepted it was derogatory but said it was not a “terrible” phrase.

When the advocate said she found him “intimidating and hostile” as they discussed the use of pronouns, Mr Toshack said “that’s absolutely untrue”.
