NORRISTOWN — A Worcester Township man was sent to jail for possessing and disseminating child pornographic materials, a crime that was uncovered when state police identified him during an online investigation of people sharing such materials. Madavaram was linked to possessing and disseminating child pornography as state police with a computer crime task force were conducting investigations of people using the internet to share child pornographic materials. As the investigation continued, police downloaded other child pornographic videos from Madavaram’s devices on dates in April, May and June. A forensic analysis of the devices uncovered multiple video files and images depicting child pornography, specifically children in various stages of undress or engaged in sexual acts, according to court papers. Charges of possessing an instrument of crime were dismissed against Madavaram in exchange for his guilty plea to the most serious charges.
