Leesville Police Chief Amanda Westmoreland recently recognized PFC Tyler Hardwick, PTN Caleb Phillips, records clerk Judy Horton and PFC Devin Buterbaugh for their service and commitment to community (Ashlyn Little / American Press)Leesville Police Chief Amanda Westmoreland recognized three members of her department during Tuesday’s City Council meeting for their outstanding service and dedication to the community. Those recognized were PFC Devin Buterbaugh, PFC Tyler Hardwick and Police Officer Caleb Phillips. Westmoreland also recognized records clerk Judy Horton as someone who has gone above and beyond and continues to do so after many years working with the department. Mayor Rick Allen said acts of service do not go unnoticed and thanked each of them for their service. The council also passed a resolution to authorize advertisement for bids to install four pickleball courts, including fencing, at the recreation complex.
