Following a period of poor weather, storms and heavy rainfall, the Irish Coast Guard, Water Safety Ireland and the RNLI are reminding the public that the conditions may have made waterside paths unstable.
Paths by rivers and along coasts are very popular spots for walkers and joggers thanks to their scenic nature.
They ask that people check weather and sea conditions before any coastal or water-based activities.
Because water conditions can shift quickly, a calm morning can turn dangerous by afternoon.
