Man rescued from top of the Peak District after spending night in snowy conditionsConditions were worsened by poor visibility and high windsView Image Crews had to manouvre tricky terrain (Image: Glossop Mountain Rescue Team)A man was rescued from the top of the Peak District's highest point after spending a night there in freezing conditions. ‌Teams from Glossop Mountain Rescue Team have issued a statement after they were called to assist an experienced explorer on Tuesday morning (January 27) after he spent the night on Kinder Scout. Colleagues at Kinder Mountain Rescue Team were also called and tasked with getting a stretcher onto Mill Hill as a precaution. ‌"The gentleman was located exactly where he had described," a spokesperson for Glossop Mountain Rescue Team said. Glossop Mountain Rescue is a voluntary organisation, surviving only on donations from the public.
