The contract recognizes Electricoop’s technical and operational capacity to work on critical electricity generation infrastructure in Puerto Rico, officials said. The Cooperative of Electrical Industry Professionals of Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, Electricoop, has signed a framework services agreement with the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority, through its operator Genera PR, to provide specialized services at electricity generation facilities across the island. Under the Master Services and Supply Agreement, Contract No. 110838, Electricoop is authorized to provide maintenance, repair, inspection and technical support services for substations and electrical equipment at all generating plants operated by Genera PR in Puerto Rico. Genera PR said the partnership aligns with its strategy to strengthen local supplier networks as it undertakes efforts to modernize Puerto Rico’s generation system.
