Menonita Hospital Caguas, where Menonita Health System is expanding pediatric and stroke services.
Menonita Health System announced the completion of another phase of its multiyear expansion plan at Menonita Hospital Caguas, adding pediatric capacity, expanding advanced stroke services and advancing projects that are expected to push total investment beyond $75 million over the next two years.
The latest phase includes a new pediatric care area with additional beds, a new Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and 16 new beds dedicated to the treatment and management of stroke and neurological patients.
Hernández-Rivera said Menonita Hospital Caguas serves as a strategic hub for health care in Puerto Rico’s central-eastern region and that the organization remains focused on reinvesting its earnings.
Hospital officials said Menonita Hospital Caguas has experienced sustained growth and recently received accreditation as an Advanced Comprehensive Stroke and Neuroscience Center from The Joint Commission and the American Heart Association.
