The Accord Party in Osun State has confirmed that Governor Ademola Adeleke has been successfully uploaded as its officially nominated candidate for the August 8, 2026, governorship election. In a statement on Thursday in Osogbo, party chairman Pastor Victor Akande said the confirmation followed the completion of all documentation and submission processes with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), which now officially lists Adeleke as the Accord Party’s candidate. “We are pleased to formally inform the good people of Osun State that His Excellency, Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke, has been successfully uploaded into the records of INEC as the Accord Party’s candidate,” Akande said. The party noted that the confirmation had addressed questions surrounding its nomination process ahead of the 2026 governorship contest scheduled by INEC. Akande stated that the party viewed the development as an affirmation of its compliance with electoral guidelines and procedures governing candidate nominations.
