Ghana will host a High-Level Consultative Conference on Regional Cooperation and Security from January 29 to 30, 2026, as part of renewed efforts to tackle the region’s pressing security challenges.
The conference will begin with sessions for officials and ministers, culminating in a summit where regional leaders will chart a way forward.
Participants are also expected to assess current peace and security initiatives, examine the evolving humanitarian situation, and identify practical measures to strengthen cooperation among states.
The Ministry emphasised that the conference aims to foster regional unity and coordinated action, creating sustainable platforms for promoting peace, stability, and development.
“The Consultative Conference provides an opportunity to enhance regional solidarity, strengthen collective responsibility, and develop practical strategies to protect citizens, improve stability, and promote sustainable growth,” the statement said.
