This is the second time the campaigners have been dealt a blow on demands for compensation.
Women Against State Pension Inequality (Waspi) have persistently campaigned for justice regarding how state pension alterations were communicated.
In November, Mr McFadden stated his department would examine a previously-announced policy against compensating the women born in the 1950s.
