Trans access at Hampstead Heath Ponds to stay unchanged for now as judicial review rejectedThe High Court turned down Sex Matters' request for an early judicial reviewView 4 Images Sex Matters argued the Ladies' Ponds should only be used by those born a female (Image: Daniel Leal/AFP via Getty Images)The High Court has turned down a request to force an early review of Trans people's access to Hampstead Heath Ponds. ‌Justice Lieven said an application by campaigners to launch a judicial review of the City of London's decision to allow Trans people to access the ponds was "premature". ‌The same percentage opposed introducing strict single sex access, 90pc of people rejected requiring Trans swimmers to use separate changing rooms or have separate swimming sessions, while 66pc opposed making all ponds mixed sex. The City previously said it was "disappointed" by the legal challenge saying a review of who could access the ponds was underway. The findings will be presented to City Corporation committees which will consider them alongside legal duties, equality impact assessments, safeguarding responsibilities, and operational considerations.
