According to an arrest report by the Crossville Police Department, on January 22, 2026, Crossville Police officers responded to a report of a suspicious person on Oak Grove Street who was interfering with belongings placed outside following an eviction. The caller described the individual as wearing a blue jacket and throwing dirt. Upon arrival, the officer encountered a woman in the front yard holding and throwing dirt onto the evicted furniture while also eating it. When the woman attempted to walk away, the officer attempted to detain her due to her erratic behavior. During a search, she allegedly spat grass toward the officer’s face and later spat on the officer’s shoe.
