A MAN has died after a lorry entered a river in the New Forest during Storm Chandra. The incident happened around 1pm on Tuesday at the Avon River off Ringwood Road, North Gorley. Police confirmed a man died following the incident (stock image)Hampshire police, South Central Ambulance Service and Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene, with the road closed for a number of hours. A police spokesperson said: “Sadly the driver, a man in his 60s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.”
