“I guess I have one, not exactly bad news, but it’s time to bring the Model S and X programs to an end with an honorable discharge,” Musk said.
“We will obviously continue to support the Model S and X programs for as long as people have the vehicles,” Musk said.
April Unveiling PlannedTesla held its Annual Shareholder Meeting in November, where Musk announced a demonstration event for the Roadster scheduled for April 1, 2026.

Musk said last year that production of the Roadster is expected to begin in mid-to-late 2027, approximately 12 to 18 months after the demonstration event.
