Authorities have released the name of a truck driver who was killed in a fiery crash after hitting a patch of ice on Highway 150. The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as Ashley William Jones. The wreck happened at 3:20 a.m. Wednesday in the 1500 block of Highway 150. Authorities said the 18-wheeler is believed to have hit a patch of ice, veered off into the woods and caught fire. Jones was pronounced dead on the scene at 3:32 a.m., according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
